Jerrell Shofner Lecture Series on Florida Culture and History

Named in honor of a prolific historian of Florida and past editor of the journal, this series, sponsored by the Florida Historical Quarterly and UCF Department of History, is designed to bring noted scholars of the region to Orlando once a year to discuss their research for an audience of faculty, students, and the general public.  Professor Gary Mormino, Frank E. Duckwall Professor Emeritus of Florida History at the University of South Florida St. Petersburg will be presenting the 5th Annual Shofner Lecture between 5:30 and 7:30pm on Monday, October 16, 2017 at the Mordgridge International Reading Center on the UCF main campus.
